Favorite places - Berlin

This is my third visit to Berlin. This time in the colors of fall. The beauty of the city is much more evident when the sun is shining and the temperature is good. Berlin is probably one of the world's most interesting cities. It's history is one of unequalled cruelty.

This is from the Tiergarten area:

To the left: the Sony Center and to the right stones marking the Berlin Wall.

To the left: Living monuments besides the Brandenburger Tor and to the right: Real monuments in front of the TV tower.

The first time I visited Berlin, it was a divided city and the East Berliners went to the TV tower to get a glimpse into the west.

This is from Mitte, an area that used to  be East Berlin:

To the left: remnants of the "Hintermauer" in Bernauer Strasse. To the rights: Remnants of the wall in Bernauer Strasse.
